I also found record of an Abraham Morris (Mores) witnessing a deed or being mentioned in a deed in Screven County, GA about 1807. I don't know if or how he would be connected to my Morris family. Other Morrises that were perhaps related to my Jesse Morris and showed up briefly in Screven were Elizabeth Morris (a widow); William Morris; Daniel Morris; David Morris,Benjamin Morris and Rebecca Morris, stepdaughter of a James Purvis. I have further details, but do not have access to my files at the time of this post.
