More references: 1716 - William Wyche lived in Surry County, Virginia; with his brother Henry when he patented land on October 1, 1716. William was mentioned in his father's will. His will, dated February 1, 1720, was proved in Surry County onFebruary 15, 1720. To son, Cyril Wyche, all my land and three slaves. Wife ,Judith, to have the labor of the three negoes untill Cyril is 21 yearsold. Rest of estate to wife, Judith, and "all my children". After debts and funeral expenses are paid.
