I have been looking for more info on this particular family also. My ancestry is through Hester's sister, Elizabeth. The info I have found on Hester has only been found on-line. I'm not sure what to make of the supposed marriage date for Hester and Philip Cole -- 9/20 or 29/1808 in Botetourt County, VA. I have only seen an approximate birth year for Elizabeth and that has been 1798. There is no way she would have married at the age of 10! That means either she was born much earlier than 1798 (which I think is highly possible since Sarah Catherine Spickard was born about 1761 and John Jacob Lanius in 1763. I have not seen a marriage date for them, but most young ladies did marry in the years around age 20. But the first child listed for them wasn't born until about 1795?

Anyway, let me know what specifically you are looking for and I'll let you know if I have anything in my notes. You can reply here or reply directly to me.
