There is a Hanna Bird (Byrd) in my research. I estimate her date of birth to be about 1730-40. Her first husband appears to be David Miller, died before 1774, and her dower lands were located in Botetourt Co., VA (jurisdiction of Augusta Co. in 1761-68, in Montegomery Co in 1790) near north fork of the Roanoke river.
David and she had two sons who we can find in a few records, one William and one Andrew. Her second husband was William Champ (married before 1776)and she moved with him and their children to Paint Lick (today Garrard Co., KY) in 1784. She is listed in Garrard Co., KY Census of 1800 as Hanna Champ, head of household. We are quite certain that she was then the widow of William Champ.
My search for Hannah's parents, place of birth, siblings, etc., has so far been unsuccessful. I keep a list of Birds in Botetourt and surrounding counties, flocks of Birds, but have not been able to build a link between any of them and Hannah.
Your Hannah Bird, born 1814 in Botetourt Co., might be related through a common ancestor, but I have nothing to base this on other than the coincidence of name and place. Keep me in mind if you turn up anything.
