Jean, I know you have to be mad at me, but I located the proof I needed to show Julia Anna's birth. I checked the l850 census of Montgomery Co., IN, where Martha (Poague) Zell was living, died (Oct l850) and is buried. She was 70 years old, or so the census stated. If she was born l8l2 - l8l2!
then she could not, I restate, could not, have been Martha (Poague)'s child. Why???
Can you see it.
Now, we have long thought that Thomas Zell's
wife, which number we know not, must have also been named Martha, as this name is carried in the family down to today. My name is Martha, James & Martha live in the home county, and the family is full of names pertaining to Martha, i.e. Mattie. I had not meant to make a blatant statement to you. She was probably the daughter of Martha, but not of the one we were speaking of. We have yet to determine her maiden name, but I believe, since we have learned of my Peter Zell, Sr., birthplace, we may at last find him and her. I certainly didn't mean to upset the apple cart.
