I am researching my ancestors John & Mary CURTIS Alderson. They moved to Fincastle in 1772. John died in 1780 and Mary died in 1785. John was a baptist preacher. I'm looking for info about the name of the church, John's association with it, his arrest for "celebrating the rites of matrimony", a drawing of the church. Also trying to verify his death date. Thanks for any tips.
