Wilson and McBride

Josiah Wilson was born 1789 in Virginia, based on several census' taken in later years for Wayne County Missouri. His wife, Sarah (believed to have been McBride maiden name) was also born in Virginia. Josiah was an important settler for the Wayne County Missouri area, settling around 1819 and is listed in the history books there. He was also listed as having been in the War of 1812. A couple of family researchers for the Wilson name have thought that this Josiah and Sarah were from Botetourt County in Virginia. Some of their children, all born in Wayne County, MO., were Elizabeth J., John W., Eliza A., Josiah C., James, Henry, Madison, George W., Maria, and Washington.

This has been a long search for my g-g-grandfather and grandmother and would appreciate any new ideas or leads that helps our family trace their origins. Keith
