This ancestor showed up in Lauderdale County, Alabama in 1820 and was quite visible in Alabama and northeast Mississippi for the rest of his life. His origion in Virginia, however, has been a big brick wall for all of us for years. Could this be the same as your Robert? What do you know of him?
