Hi, Next month, I may have the opportunity to do a couple of days of genealogy research in Botetourt County. I haven't been there before. I'm researching 18th century families who lived for a time in the county, and am especially interested in court records, deeds, military, vital records, taxes or any original records/films on the individuals. 1. Would it be more efficient, time-wise, to go to the Botetourt court house/library or to go to LVA in Richmond for the same information? 2. If I come to Fincastle, where is the closest place to stay? I'm researching the following: Henry Baughman 1753- ; Christopher Baughman 1788-1861 m Rachel Glasburn; Zopher Carpenter 1730s- ; David Glasburn 1750- m. Elizabeth Carpenter; Sampson Sawyers 1730s- ; George M. Sawyers 1779- , m. Rachel Rees; John R. Sawyers 1792- . Thanks for any advice. Brenda Notify Administrator about this message?
