If you go to and then to the Virginia connection, you will find the counties listed and various projects happening. One of my favorites are the photos being put online. There is a picture looking down on Wythe Valley from the top of WALKER Mountain. The importance of this to me is that my KING and WILLIAMS lines came from Smythe and Wythe Counties in Virginia, and WALKER Mountain was owned at one time by the WALKERs that moved on to North and South Carolina. Eventually, the WALKERs migrated north again passing through Kentucky to Indiana. There Polly WALKER married Joseph QUINN. They left Indiana and Illinois in 1852 and moved to Oregon, but stopped in Idaho to have their eighth child who would eventually marry one of my KING-WILLIAMS children! My KING-WILLIAMS family didn't migrate West until around 1900. They arrived in Idaho and chose to stay.
Do go to the Virginia Genweb site and view the beautiful pictures of the WALKER Mountain and Wythe County.
