Sounds like Penelope was a descendent of my William of Cub Creek. But as you guessed she would be a grand daughter.
Williams Father, it turns out was John (not Robert).
Williams sons were:David (my line)b.c.1735,m. Elizabeth P (B)allentine, (only proven son so far is my George), William b.c. 1737,m. Elizabeth Gounce, George b.c. 1742 m. Elizabeth Lawson, Clement b.c. 1744 m. Ann (?)
If William had a son John he is not named in his Will.I'm sorry I don't have info on Johns other sons or their children.I believe my David had a son John but have not proven it as yet.
