I have a Penelope Rogers, married James McDavid, SC. There is this notation in my info: "Penelebel Rogers, b in SC, said to be a descendant of William Rogers of Cub Creek, VA, whose family migrated to SC. Her dates are 1766-1853."

Obviously, if the dates are correct, she couldn't be a daughter of your William, but I saw there was a Wm, Jr. However, there is also a notation that "her family came to SC at an early date. John Rogers is found on military duty, 1755" Could John have been a son to your William? It's possible he was my Penelope's father.

Any help is appreciated. At this point, I have no idea which Rogers/Rodgers family Penelope belongs to.
