Dear Sir

My ggranddad was Dixie Dooley. His father was Lafayette Newton Dooley(1836-1915).I have learned that L.N.Dooley was a private in the Civil War for the South. He was in the 20th Va. Inf.(Heavy Art. Batt.). Do you know where I might find a record of his enlistment?
Also I think his daddy was named John. Do you think John is kin to the Henry Dooley that supposedly came from Ireland in late 1600's?
Any help with my "clan" would be appreciated.

Thanks
Jim Dooley
