Dooley research

I'm researching a family mystery and maybe you can help.
My gg grandmother, Helen Gertrude Dooley, was
born in 1869 in Connorsville, Fayette Cty, IN. Her mother, Sarah (no last name) died the same year and is buried there. Her tombstone lists Newton Dooley as her husband. There is a record of a Connorsville land sale by a Newton Dooley the same year. Newton is not found in the Fayette county censuses, but there is a well-documented Newton married to Jane with ten or eleven kids in Boone County, IN, born in Shelby, KY in 1815. He is the son of John who is the son of Sam II who is the son of Sam from Bedford Cty, VA.
I have also found a Jasper Newton Dooley, son of Newton, and a Christopher Newton Dooley, nephew of Newton. I realize that the VA/KY/IN area must have been crawling with Dooleys at the time, but have you run across any others named Newton? We really don't have any old-timers left in our family, so any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
