Where is Welchman's Ordinary Creek/Branch in Bedford Co., VA? William Jenkins, whose father Amos may have come from Wales, had a farm on this creek in 1771. Thus, this may have been the neighbors' name for this waterway.
Andrew Hunter, Jr. purchased 187 acres on Welchman's Ordinary Branch from Benjamin Arnold in 1867. Another researcher puts Andrew Hariston there in March 1760.
My maps don't show Welchman's Ordinary Creek...at least with this name. It must be in Bedford County. Does anyone know where?
