Sir:
I don't really have anything information for you,
except this. My maiden name is Long. The Long's were in
the Bedford County, Va., area back in 1771. Well,
my gggggrandfather, John Long 1 married a Mary Haynes
in Bedford Co., I know that they had 2 children;
One was a son George Long 1 (Rev.) b. in 1771, Bedford
Co., Va. and a daughter Nancy Long. John Long was one
of the incorporators of the Providence Baptist church.
It is reported that John and wife are buried in the
Rev. George Long 1 cemetery near Riceville. John was
in the Rev. War.
It's not anything that is of great importance,
but a Haynes, then they named their first son, George?
That is the first time George appear's in our line.
I have been doing genealogy for many years, now, and
know how frustrating it can be. This just seemed inte-
resting w/the names?
Thanks for your time, hope you come up w/something
concrete.
