Thank you for graciously accepting my "changes" to what line you had this Robert attached to!
Unfortunately, I did not trak Robert after his marriage - so I don't know when he died OR where he went.
I worked on his brothers Reuben and Micajah BECAUSE they were often misplaced as MY Reuben's sons, when , in fact, they were his nephews!

I know you've done a lot of research on the Rowlands and wonder if you've dug up any records for John Rowland from Hanover/Louisa. He had land surveyed for him in Albemarle in 1745 but did NOT take it. I'm assuming he may have died about that time. But no will, etc. John MUST be related to your line of Rowlands! He is the son of Thomas Rowland who had a wife named Grace and appears in the vestry book for St. Paul's parish (NOT the register) and in Partridge's sotre ledger. John had brothers David and, I think Richard.

I Do believe this John is the father of Reuben and Henry. I KNOW Reuben was born in 1743 (per tombstone) and figure Henry was born ca 1739 because I first find him witnessing deeds in Albemarle in 1760.

Reuben remained in Albemarle where he was VERY active in the Baptist church. I don't know why his brother Henry went to Bedford Co.

I also believe that the Thomas Rowland who md. Mildred McCoy Lewis was Henry and Reuben's brother. He was born in 1750. What are your thoughts on that. He was also a strong Baptist and ended up in Greenville, SC.
