I have just started work on the Adams family of Bedford Co VA as a lateral line. My sources are all secondary and internet study to put some of the families together and all info needs to be checked. I have found a William A. Adams married to Lucy Dearin/Dearing in Bedford in the 1820, 1830, 1840 and 1850 census. It appears they had 8 sons and 1 daughter. This daugter probably would have been Eliza P. Adams who married William G. Fisher in 1831 in Bedford. Two of the sons are known because of appearing in the 1850 census, Abraham and Cornelius. One other son is probably Richard who married Elizabeth Wills in 1836 in Bedford. Who the father of William A. Adams was I don't know. Lucy Dearing's parents were John Dearin Sr. and Jamimah Unknown. Hope this give you a place to start looking. Carole Lacy
