We may share a common heritage. Gaddy/Gaddey (NOT Geddy) Blisland Parish, New Kent, via Henrico, Chesterfield, to Bedford by 1740s. My ancestor Thomas Gaddey/Gaddy from Bedford to NC (Halifax/Edgecombe) 1760, leaving two (?brothers?), Sherwood and George in Bedford.
Wife of Thomas was a Lucy/cie, surname unk.
