My ancestor Arabia Brown born 1785 in Va. according to census of 1850 in Wayne Co. Mo. He married 1807 in Jefferson Co. Tn. to Catherine Brittain. I have an indenture dated April 2, 1816 where Sarah Brown of Bedford Co. Va., widow of George Brown sells to Arabia Brown of Caldwell Co. Ky. the 1/3 interest she received of the estate in Jefferson Co. Tn. as the widow of George.
My Arabia is found in Stewart Co. Tn. 1820. In 1830 in Madison Co. Mo. and 1840 and 1850 in Wayne Co. Mo. I can't place him in Caldwell Co. Ky 1816.
There is another Arabia Brown married Elizabeth Dooley and he and his son settled in Garrard Co. Ky. This family from Bedford Co. Va. Is there some connection between the Arabia Brown families?
Does anyone know of the children of George Brown and Sarah Brown? There is a marriage of a George Brown and Sarah Brown d/o of Sarah in Bedford Co. Nov. 24, 1783.
Does a will exist in Bedford for George Brown about 1815?
