Looking for information on a John Thompson born abt 1816 married a Nancy Radford born abt 1817 of Franklin County VA. Married in Franklin County 12-24-1836. Other than this marriage record the next time we find them is in 1850 on the Franklin County Census with 6 of their 11 children William A abt 1838, Joshua abt 1838, Elizabeth abt 1842,Peter abt 1844, John abt 1846, Emeline abt 1848 the rest of the children are Nathaniel abt 1851, Frances abt 1854, Nancy abt 1856, George abt 1862,William abt 1866.This is were he stayed till his death which was 11-25-1896 in which his death certificate stated he burn to death reported by his grandson William. We figure they must have been living in a surrounding county on his father's farm or etc. at the first part of their marriage. We have no clue as to where he came from or his parents name we are searching surrounding counties hoping that someone might beable to fill us in on the missing part of John Thompson's past. This has been a hugh brick wall for several of us researching John Thompson. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
