Hi, Bill...The "Bates" part has me confused...however, I don't have a lot on John Hawkins Goode.....perhaps there are more than one, which is highly possible. My John Hawkins Goode was born in Rutherford Co., NC and died 1851 in Christian Co., KY. He married Sarah Clark in 1817 in Christian Co., KY. She died approx 1822-1892..which I know is a big gap but all I have. John Hawkins and Sarah had a son James Richard Goode who was my great grandfather.....I can bring it on down to present. Would love to have what you have on Goodes...Didn't realize all this "matching up" was so hard. My late aunt left me what she had and I'm not too sure of the accuracy. Thanks......danna
