Following just posted on Armstrong family forum:
Name: David W. Gaddy
Subject: Lanty Armstrong, Bedford Cty, VA 1760
Added on Date: 2/20/02
Message Number: 5296

Body of Message:

"Lanty (?Lancelot?) Armstrong" was third of three witnesses (William Bumpass, William Callaway and Lanty Armstrong)
to 15 FEB 1760 sale of 200A in Bedford County, VA, by Thomas Gaddy (wife Lucy) to Henry Bunch. [Bedford Deed 1, p.
261]. Probably same land Thomas Gaddey[sic] had procured by grant 1747. In 1760 he moved to Halifax, NC. Seeking
family name of his wife, Lucy. Noting the various Lanty Armstrongs, and search for their "pre-TN" origins, I thought to bring
this to attention of other Arnstrong researchers.
