Henry J. Jones was born in either Bath or Rockingham County, Virginia on 20 February 1827. He was the son of Robert and Anna (Horsbarger) Jones. I haven’t discovered when Henry moved into the Upshur County, West Virginia area, but he was there by 30 December 1863 when he married the widow, Sena (Post) Lance. On 3 October 1883, he sued for and won divorce from Sena. On 26 Feb 1884 he married Martha Ellen (Thomas) Hamner. Henry died on 18 July 1906 in Gaines, WV.
