Patteson's in Appomattox Co.

I'm looking for any information on the Patteson Family in Appomattox Co. They at one time owned the home where Lee and Grant signed the surrender of the Civil War, it's now a National Monument. They also ran a stagecoach service from that home. Alexander Patteson called that house Clover Hill.
Any information would be appreciated
Thank you
