I recently discovered the Higginbotham name while doing research in early Yazoo County, MS records. I did some looking in the World Connect trees at rootsweb.com saw than Robert H. Higginbotham was the son of Caleb. Robert who was in Pike Co., MS for the 1820 census was in Yazoo County by 1830. He was one of the original land owners. By 1840 his wife, Emily, was enumerated next to her daughter and son-in-law, John Johnson. Thus, Robert must have died sometime between the census years.
