I just saw your Post Re: Amherst Co., VA in the Revolution/Anyone have book. I would be ever so grateful, if you would do a look up on a William Angus. He was a Pariot in the Virginia Militia during the Revolution. The following information is furnished: Wlliam Angus was said to have been born ABT 1750 (some researchers belive as early as Bet 1734/1744), in Galloway, Scotland. He Immigrated to Amercia arriving in NY ABT 16 May, 1774, and arriving in Lincastle, Amherst County, VA a short time later. He married Elizabeth Martin, daughter of John Martin and Millie Rucker (supposedly the daughter of one said Peter "Patch" Rucker ABT 1775. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
