There seems to be several Padgett's that migrated to Amherst County late 1700's. Probably from Essex County.
I wonder if anyone has any information on Edmund Padgett
who probably was the first there.
I think I saw him listed in earlier setlers of Amherst County.
Does anyone know what document that was used to determine
him being there so early and what if any information is avaiable on him. Was he born abt 1700 or 1723-26 areaas
some researchers has stated.
