William Angus

Searching for anyone that can verify the William Angus that lived on the 587 acre tract of land located on Indian Creek Road belonging to the now, "Forest Hill" Historical Site.

According to the National Register of Historical Places Registration Form, the main house which pre-dates 1803 as a deed from James and Henry Woods to a William Galt in that year noted that a William Angus lived on the 587-acre tract of land, and that the hall-parlor section of the current house is likely the residence of William Angus noted in the deed.

It is noted in the "Forest Hill" Historical Record, that one of subject property owners was a William Thomas Tucker, and from my knowledge of the close association of William Angus and the Tucker Families, I am considering if this William Angus noted in the afore mentionded records is my GGGGG Grandfather William Angus, born CIRCA 1750 in Galloway, Scotland, and immigrated America and in 1774 and moved on to Amherst County,VA.

I will greatly appreciate any and all information from this Forum's readers. Thanks.
