Robert,

I thank you for this info. Myszelf and several others are searching for ancestry of James Gillenwater(S)Wright. (1802/3-1843 Texas)I've even hired a professional at one time. All leads point to Robert Wright & Keziah Gillenwaters, BUT, they qwere married in 1808, and my James was born in 1802-1803 in Alabama (most likely TENN) as stated by his siblings. I'm wondering if Robert Wright may have been married to a sister or relation to his second wife, it would explain the Gillenwater(s) as a middle name. Even more confusing, James and his wife, Sarah Carruthers named there first son Marmaduke Gillenwater(s) Wright and we have yet to find another Marmaduke Wright or Marmaduke Carruthers to try and establish a naming pattern. It has been suggested that our James may hace been a cousin to the offspring of Claiborne Wright. Any thoughts?
