Clark/Painter fam's from Va. to Oh. to Ill.

I recently found my family in Amherst Co. Va. Nelly Clark m to John Painter. Nelly had 10 siblings, her father was William Clark, Sr. mother Unknown. They were in Pedlar region when father died in 1821.
Three of Nelly's siblings m into the Hartless family. Many of these siblings moved to Ross Co. Ohio, abt 1822, then in the early 1840's some moved to Greene Co. Ill.
In Va. the Clark fam. is described as mulatto (indian/white) heritage. I have a lot of familys to connect that ended up in Greene Co. Illinois.
I also would like any info on these Clarks and John Painter of Amherst Co. Va. There doesn't seem to be much on him. Would he be one of the desc of the Monocan Indian from Amherst, Pedlar River area?
Other families that are deeply involved with these Painters is the Raines, Garretts, Philips, Whiteside, & Warren families. Many of these are in Greene County,Ill thru to the 1880's and on to the present.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
