QUESTIONS- JAMES EVANS & JOHN JOSLIN
Posted by: Wakley Ann (Evans) Doyal Date: September 29, 2000 at 10:13:01
  of 898

Hope someone has the answers.
What and where is the documented proof that Dianah JOSLIN, wife of John JOSLIN of Amherst Co. Va. and Lincoln Co. Ky., was Dianah EVANS, daughter of James EVANS/EVINS of Albemarle and Amherst Co’s Va.? Who were the parents of this James EVANS/EVINS?
Could this James EVANS/EVINS be the husband of Elizabeth (JOSLIN) EVANS, or Molly (JOSLIN) EVANS/EVINS who are named as daughters of John JOSLIN in his will in 1793 in Lincoln Co. Ky.? Is this the James EVANS/EVINS who serviced in the Revolutionary War from Amherst Co. in Capt. Stripling’s company and drew a pension in 1828 at the age of 70 years. (1828 at age 70 = born ca. 1758).
Is there documentation showing William JOSLIN of Deerfield, NJ.(1701 – 1771) was the father of John JOSLIN of Amherst Co. Va. and Lincoln Co. Ky.?
I would appreciate any help on this James EVANS/EVINS.
Thank You, Wakley Ann (Evans)Doyal
