William, Here is the website name for my homepage with the descendency chart.
www.familytreemaker.com/users/s/h/a/Barbara-L-Shaffer/index.html

Please email me if you have any updates. My sister went to BI recently from Appomattox. She found the site for one of the old churches but has to go back when the weeds have all been mowed down.

Did you know there are two books published with the Sligh family mentioned in them? Your GF Elisha Mack is listed as bening an owner of the Chestnut Hill Tavern in Snowden in the early 1900's. Please email me if you want to correspond. Ihave found two other relatives thorugh Genforum...Alice Carwile descended from Henry Franklin Sligh and Lawrence Sligh descended from John Sligh and Sallie Hawks.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Barb Shaffer
