The daughter (Mary or Sarah, I believe)of my ancestor, David Asselin, son of Dr. David Asselin, married a Thomas Pollard in Amelia County in the late 1700's, if I remember correctly (I don't have my notes with me). Mary's brother, Lawrence, is actually my direct line. Their brother, Francis Asselin, who inherited the plantation, married Edith Cobb. Their brother, Thomas Asselin, married Susanna Mckenny. Their other sister, Elizabeth, married Anthony Foster. Another sister married a McNamar?. If any of these names fit in with your Pollard's, please let me know and I will look up the exact info and send to you. I am desperately seeking the last name of Sarah, who married my Lawrence. I can find all other marriage records except for his. I'm beginning to wonder if he married a slave or an Indian. Dr. David Asselin practiced medicine in the Painville area.
