Actually I do not research Ligons as such. I was researching the Spurlock family in Henrico and Goochland counties when I found one branch had married into Huguenot families in Henrico/Mecklenburg counties. That led to checking out several Huguenot families including that of Ligon.

Short ansewer - no, I cannot answer yiu qwuestion except with a "no". Sorry.

I do know some of these French names were a bit tough so some were changed. However, I find "Ligon" among the earliest settlers at Mannakin Town.
