Hello, My name is Karen and I am trying to research my family who lived in amelia county. I was in Amelia this past summer and found a grave that I am 90% certain is that of my gg-grandparents. John J Stengel 10/5/1839-11/4/1910 and Rosina K Stengel 9/5/1841-5/8/1916 Her madien name may have been steinbarrer or steinbaner. If anyone can shed any light on these people, please contact me.

Another set of gg-grandparents were found in Moore Methodist Church Cemetary, near crew virginia. They are William Wrigglesworth 3/16/1844-11/4/1897 and Lavinia Metcalfe 8/2/1852-10/20/1927.

I found the old homestead "Rose Eminence" of state route 153 on county route 696. All of this history just left me "thristy for more" but almost anything prior to these gg-grandparents are a mystery.

It is my hope that someone out there will see this post and have more information of the history of these "gone but not forgotten" relatives.

Thanks
karen
