Eight Oaks Plantation, Amelia County

Historical Notes on Amelia County, p.360, describes Eight Oaks as name for Brackett, Nash, Randolph, Thranes, Greenwood Plantation between Brackett's Bend and Oak Mulga on Appomattox River, Route 636. My great-great grandmother, Ann Virginia PAYNE was born at Eight Oaks on 1 February 1815. Parents: Sarah SCOTT and William PAYNE.
Does anyone know where information on Eight Oaks might be secured?
