Migration of Jones family to GA in 1780s

I have been trying to find the Virginia origins of my Jones ancestors who migrated to Wilkes County, GA in the mid-1780s, after the Revolution in which several were soldiers. I have been told that Adam Jones, one of three brothers who migrated, came from Amelia County but I have not been able to verify this. The other two were Thomas Jones (who had a son named Benjamin) and Benjamin. Does anyone have information on Jones who lived in Amelia before and immediately after the Revolution? According to family legend, the younger Benjamin was a soldier at Yorktown when Cornwallis surrendered. Any information will be appreciated.
