Try looking in Frederick County, Virginia records for your Jones family. There is a book on The Hopewell Friends that may be helpful. Jones is a Welch name and scores of them were Quakers. There also is a large number of Quakers in the Pennsylvania.Try a book called" Marion in the Welch Tract".

One John Chumley from Amelia also migrated to Wilkes Co. Ga in 1800. He is listed in the lottery records. He later moved to Kentucky.
