Thank you for trying. I'm siting here looking at the copy I got from the state library wondering how come this is so hard to find lol...The Broughman family is very hard to track down, at least the ones I know of. If anyone out there can help me find info on this Civil War unit please share. I'm looking for William L. Broughman that was on the payroll listed in Capt. John F. Shields' Co, Daggers Springs Home Guard dated Aug 15, 1863 and another one that says William L. Broughman listed Daggers Springs Co., Burks' Reg't Botetourt Home Guard, noted there is no date on this document but there was a letter accompanying the roll is dated Sept. 17, 1863. Also in this same unit was Samuel Broughman at the bottom of his card is notes see 60th Inf.
