Delight Shield(s) 1695 Locustville - 2 wives?

If anyone here has information concerning an ancestor named Delight Shield, I would appreciate hearing from you. It appears there were 2 men, both born around 1695, with this unique name, one named Shield and the other Shields. Both were from Virginia -- one from Accomack County and the other from Williamsburg. I am inclined to think they were the same person (because how many Delights do you know?). However, there are records of different wives, both married in Accomack County around the same year (Elizabeth Custis in 1720, and Jerusha Stalker in 1719) and, of course, different children. Maybe Delight was a polygamist?!?

I have a lot of information compiled by my grandfather regarding the Shield family descended from Delight and Elizabeth Custis and will happily share. If anyone has info that might have a bearing on the mystery of the 2 Delights, I would be grateful to hear from you.
