Thomas Teackle was born in Gloucestershire, England in about 1624 and died in Accomack County, Virginia 20 January 1695/6. He arrieved in Accomack in the 1650s.
He was 1st married to Isabella Douglast about 1658. His second wife was Margaret Nelson. He was a Church of England Minister and one of the Rectors of Hungars Parish Church (Upper) of Northampton County from about 1657+/- through 1676+/-. I have seen information that his children were: Mary Teackle; Margaret Teackle; Katherine Teackle; Elizabeth Teackle; and John Teackle but I have seen no primary documents to prove this.

An inventory was made of Rev. Thomas Teackle estate in 1697.

Did Rev. Thomas Teackle leave a will naming his children?
Where was he buried? Is there additional genealogical data on Rev. Thomas Teackle?

The name Thomas Teackle was given to at least two descendants, Thomas II born 11 Nov. 1711 died 20 July 1769, Married Elizabeth Curtis. (grandson). Thomas III
born 11 April 1734, died 14 Jan. 1782, married Elizabeth Upshur about 1757. (great grandson). The name was also given to other related, non Teagle but related descendants.

James R. Rasco
