Hi Lance,
I looked in Accomack County, VA Court Abstracts: 1663-1666-Volume 1. There are no Bowdens (or variant) listed in the index. See if anyone has access to later volumes.

If the Bowdens were landed, go to the Library Of Virginia's website (I can't think of the address). They allow you to do free online searches of their databases. I think its called the Land Grants Office. It is very helpful and very specific, especially if you don't have access to "Cavaliers & Pioneers."

Be careful though, I've seen grants mistakenly listed as being in Northumberland County when they should be listed as Northampton.
Hope this helps.
