In a book entitled "Abandoned America" by Steve Gottlieb (2002, Sleeping Bear Press, Chelsea, MI), there is a photograph of a tombstone on page 153. The stone is said to be located near Chesapeake Bay, Accomack Co., VA. It reads:

Samuel S. Tunnell & daughter
of John & Susan Riley
Who departed this life
December 10th 1824
Aged 31 years & 8 months.

There is nothing else of genealogical significance in the book, and I have no further information on this family or this cemetery. I'm just posting in case someone might find this information useful.
