I think we've corresponded before, but my computer crashed. I'm interested in the UTTER family through my PIERCE line.
Your ancestor Alonzo Utter was a brother to Leander Scott Utter. Leander married twice, the first time to Mary Frances Pierce, a sister to my great-great-grandfather James M. Pierce.
The Pierce family lived next door to one George McComas, and all were from Kentucky. Notes I have say George's sister-in-law Eunice Pierce Hadley married Joseph Martin Cameron and that their son Joseph Martin Cameron married Susan Jane Utter. Do you have any idea where Eunice Pierce Hadley's middle name may have originated? If you have answered this question before, I apologize; I lost all my stored e-mails. I've been to Barry County many times, and I found a grave for infant daughter of Joe and Jane Utter.
