Our ancestors Elizabeth SAUREY and Thomas JENKIN married in 1890 in Payson. Witness was "Miss Adella NELSON." She was apparently a friend of the bride, and I have been trying to find out who Adella was and how she was connected -- maybe a relative too? Elizabeth was Mormon, Thomas was not. Elizabeth's entire family was back in Logan, her birthplace, and I cannot for the life of me figure out how or why a teenage Mormon girl would travel to Payson, 90 miles away, unless it was to visit or live with relatives? Thanks for any clues or info, especially on Adella.
