Thanks for your reply. Louis Goldsmith was my Great Grandfather and founded Marks, Goldsmith & Co. I knew most of his children and had found the court case. He and Esther were both from Bavaria and ended up in Baltimore.

I am interested in more information about his companies (Marks Goldsmith & Co. and Goldsmith & Co.). I am also seeking information about Louis's earlier life and his wife.
