I see on the Price surname project of Family Tree DNA that Kit N67190 from a male-line descendant of Edward Cheaver Price (1876-1933) matches in 11 of 12 Y-DNA DYS markers with Kit 19706 from a descendant of George T. Price (1825-1910). Before raising hopes of a Y-DNA-based case, more markers from Kit N67190 should be tested. If Y-DNA resemblance is strong with more markers, then a plausible father of Edward Cheaver Price would be Henry C. Price (1820-1911), an older brother of George T. Price.
Along with siblings and his widowed mother, Henry C. Price acquired federal land near Mount Vernon, Lawrence County, Missouri (Township 27, Range 26, Section 36) around 1839 (Lawrence County Missouri Tombstone Inscriptions, 1985, Vol. 2, p. 5). Henry apparently married Margaret White, daughter of George White (b. ca. 1800) and Rebecca ___ (b. ca. 1801). Henry and Margaret were married April 21, 1842 in Barry County, Missouri. [See The Lawrence County Historical Society Bulletin, April 1987, No. 103, p. 22.] Around 1852, Henry went to California in the gold rush. Around 1891, Henry returned alone to take up residence with his younger brother George in Udall, Ozark County, MO. I have no further information about Henry's wife and children.
