Janet, thankyou for your help. I too had seen the references to Mary Gillespie and about decided she must have been a first wife. Because his 2nd wife was named Minnie Katherine Lecour. I tried the web site you sent for Mo records and did not come up with a death record for Mary. However I will go back to it and try alternate spellings of the name. I have sent a request to the funeral home in salt Lake City and am awaiting a reply. Maybe something new will turn up. In the meantime another of my 'invisible internet helpers' has tracked down a marriage for John's daughter Margaret and Flynn. So I'm excited at the progress. This genforum set up is the best thing to happen to genealogy. People like you are so kind.
