You might go here: http://raogk.com/search.html and search for volunteers in Salt Lake;there are several who will help with obits. Also, if you are unaware of it,the death certificates for John and his wife can be found here: http://archives.utah.gov/research/indexes/index.html Although,Lucy Freiwald gave John's wife's name as "Mayme",and John gave his wife's name on her certificate as "Minnie Katherine". I also see that the LDS genealogy library holds the records for Ricketts-Allcott Mortuary-which is who handled John's burial; if you have a Family History Library at a local LDS church, you should be able to aquire access to that record through them--mortuary records usually have much personal information, family etc. As a perhaps and maybe: When John registered for the WWI draft in 1917/1918 in Kansas City,MO he gave his wife's name as Mary. I see a MO marriage record for John Theodore Freiwald age 33 and Mary Gillespie age 31-both from Kansas City, married in Clay County Sept.30,1913. (Based on age of first marriage in the 1930 census, looks like John and Mayme had only been married about 6yrs-but one never knows-census can be very vague) Then in the 1920 census for Kansas City, it looks like John is living in a boarding house, perhaps with a brother Michael Freiwald who is 37. I tried MO death certificates here-to see if Mary Freiwald had died, but the darn page won't load;maintance perhaps, but you might try it again and see if you can get to them: http://www.sos.mo.gov/archives/resources/deathcertificates/ Notify Administrator about this message?
